Our History

Hypnotherapy Training International has been successfully teaching and training clients since 1990. Our founder, Dr. John Butler, has over 35 years of experience in the field after receiving a doctoral degree from the University of London specializing in neuroendocrinology. Dr. Butler’s career has included numerous groundbreaking projects in psychology, neuroanatomy, and neuroscience; including writing & tutoring the first official hypnotherapy trainings for the NHS at the Royal College of Nursing. He continues to instruct on the surgical applications of hypnosis in courses accredited by the Royal College of Anaesthetists.

Outside of his research & lectures, Dr. Bulter has taken clients from the highest levels of performing arts, media, and business magnates including Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, BUPA, and Ernst & Young. He has also been called as an expert witness in legal cases surrounding hypnosis.
